Halloween Newsletter
- Midterm – School will close at 3 p.m. Friday 22nd October for Mid-Term Break. School will re-open Monday 1st November.
- Halloween Party – We will have a Halloween Party on Friday 22nd October. Due to Covid19 please do not congregate at the gate. Please drop and go as usual, we will send a class photo by email later that day.
All children can dress up. Thank you to all families who brought in sweets/crisps etc. to share for the Halloween party. We had a very generous response.
- Parent Teacher meetings –We are due to hold Parent Teacher Meetings on the week of the 15th to 19th November. We are awaiting clarification on exactly how they can be facilitated but we will let you know as soon as possible.
- Slippers and indoor shoes- will need to be brought in after Halloween. Please ensure your child can change into their shoes and slippers by themselves as it will have to be done every day.
- Contributions– Many thanks to all families who have paid the school contribution, we really appreciate your support and all money received will go towards photocopying, art and craft material costs which all children benefit from.
6. School Closure – The children will have half day on Friday November 19th
as the staff engage in training on the new Primary Language Curriculum. School will close for children at 12:30 pm on this day.
- Garden – A huge thank you to Olivia and Natalie King who have begun work on tidying the garden. We hope to restore it to its original beauty and then let the children plant seasonal flowers and watch them grow.
- Parents Association – We would like to thank the outgoing Parents Association for all their hard work and commitment we really appreciate all their support. We also welcome the new members of the Parent’s Association Committee and look forward to working closely with them during the year.

- Maths Week – Maths week was held in school on Monday 18th to Friday 22nd The children really enjoyed exploring maths in a fun way.
- Lego Workshop – We will have the rearranged Lego workshop in the school on Thursday 11th November, during Science Week. This was to be held in 2019 but could not as we went into lockdown. The cost of the workshop is €3 per child and bills will be issued through Way2Pay after Midterm break.
- Christmas Shoebox – We are running the Christmas Shoebox appeal again this year. Please ensure show boxes are returned by Friday 5th November at the latest. For more information https://www.teamhope.ie/christmas-shoebox-appeal/ and leaflets in school bags..
- Christmas Cards & Christmas Annuals – They will be available to purchase after Midterm break

Thank you to everyone for all your help and support in adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines and procedures we put in place to make the school as safe as possible. Enjoy the midterm break but please remember to stay safe in these very strange times.
