Chicks

Today we said goodbye to the newest members of our school – our 4 chicks.  For the last 3 weeks the children have been watching the 7 eggs in the incubator and on day 21 we started to see the first signs of life.  On the first day we had one chick but by the end of the next day 3 more had hatched.  Unfortunately 3 were unsuccessful but that’s nature and there was nothing we could do.  The children had a great time getting to know the chicks and there was very sad children saying goodbye today.  The chicks were moved to their forever home in Nore Vally Park Farm in Bennetsbridge, and if you ever get the chance to visit don’t forget to go and say hello to our friends!
