Today we held our first “Book Swap” in the school where the children all brought in books they have finished reading a got to choose new books from all the others brought in.  It was great to see books getting reused and enjoyed by more children.  Happy reading everyone!

Congratulations to our Students of the Week, Dean and Charlie.  Well done boys, keep it up!  

We had a visit this week from artist Carmel Daly who did canvas paintings with the children as part of our Creative Schools project.  They all did a great job and showed some very artistic skills in the process.    

We were delighted to support The World Down Syndrome “Odd Socks” campaign again this year, well done to everyone who joined in the fun and donated so generously to the charity.  We raised a fantastic €273 which will be greatly appreciated by Down Syndrome Ireland.  

Well done to our two Students of the Week, Grace and Bill, you both lead by example this week when representing the school and we were delighted your good behaviour and sportsmanship was noted by others too.  Keep up the good work!  

A huge well done to our boys and girls soccer teams who competed in the F.A.I. Soccer Blitz in Graiguecullen today.  Both teams showed great spirit, determination and teamwork.  Also thank you to Émer who stepped in at the last minute for the girls team.

We had a great trip to Kilkenny today.  We went to the Watergate Theatre to see a production of “The Big Egg” and after an outdoor picnic we made our way to the Castle Park where the children enjoyed time in the playground.  We then got back on the bus and headed to Kilkenny Gymnastics where Sharon and her fantastic...
